That still leaves the qu= estions of when WITH_META_MODE=3Dyes is necessary: For example, is it eve= r required for the likes of mergemaster? (I'll use mergemaster to illustr= ate a more general question that applies to other potential scripts as we= ll.) There is no point to provide it to mergemaster or for it to use it internally. The recommended way to use this feature is to add it to /etc/src-env.conf and forget about it or specify it for buildworld/buildkernel/universe (build) targets. There is also no harm in always defining it. That is the goal at least. --=20 Regards, Bryan Drewery --j09owglfM9WVBjs6XCM6cDeq66npo2N9N-- --ldtVgxeQFPNmETvAEQ994Inpr0RxuMHGB Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJXYLQAAAoJEDXXcbtuRpfPMfoH/31u8qQaffIsE+CBcfMh5S0f j5j84HdKy6tojUsT/4+Z326bfYAovriD95Jn0+rvkjai6/3fEmcJ/gKF8BKWPgAr bHjFQonuQoACrP5igKE/C152FsRDrBs3i7YdJCV21QmZDkxTHlltojQzY7kQU9ME utQ9kWeq7GsTX/KJtj4B8rr6rg7eQVFdFfkSCoAwUMxDf+ZRr//wUFsrP0dEEbdO qtUXM7Fgxhquv/2QCgzgDyz55eBsYeAuR22PMWSzEip92EpDalfbVVEp2KYSMT5D 8L9q6hizcT3MVkwJ9zJFom7Wb9AO35jJsq0Fg5rx32EGRk1LHsegKKLJhNnXyxc= =JXHE -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --ldtVgxeQFPNmETvAEQ994Inpr0RxuMHGB--
