Looks like you have an Adaptec 1542CP, their new Plug-and-Play flavor of the 1542. The 1542* series (including older C, CF's, and the new CP) have a few configuration variables that need to be played with in order to get things to work right, plus the Plug and Play stuff builtin to the 1542CP throw a monkey wrench into the works as well. You must've missed my recent posting to the net and the lists, detailing how I solved this problem, and got everything working happily. Well, for your benefit, here it is again.
