I'm not 100% sure but I don't think that zsnes will work with usb pads. I downloaded the windows client and it can not find my usb pad(Gravisa Gamepad Pro usb). You might try snes9x it works great, it does not have a gui. If you need that you need to install GSnes too, but it a gnome app so it requires the gnome libs and such.
