It was detected by the ncr driver and not getting the correct transfer rate. I checked the kernel config file and comment out the following: device ncr # NCR/Symbios Logic options SYM_SETUP_LP_PROBE_MAP=0x40 Recompiled the kernel and it was correctly detected by the sym driver. Try it and see if it works for you.
