(Someone > help me here) For fools like me that want to install all the source code to FreeBSD and X11R6 (Xfree86) with out dedicating 300+ meg of hard disk space to it. Using the ``lndir'' command in /usr/X11R6/bin you can make a nice link tree to the source on the cdrom. > > 3) How can I get the boot floppy to automatically boot my wd1(1,a)/kernel > > without having to type it in every time? OS-BS is a fancy boot manager > that will support the second disk OK. Agreed that OS-BS (use the beta one -- it's ok) is much prettier and nicer interface than booteasy. However, booteasy will definately boot FreeBSD from the second disk. I've heard of some cases where it would and OS-BS wouldn't. To install booteasy if you didn't do it from the install, simply use the booteasy package (bootinst.exe) from the cdrom in the tools directory from MS-DOS. -- David (obrien@cs.ucdavis.edu)
