There are some bugs with user ppp. When I used it for a dedicated line, it wouldn't work more than a day w/out dumping core. However, Doug Rabson is looking at some patches (Doug, how are they looking?) which make it more robust. > I'll try a to setup a (user) ppp server with an access through login My advice is to switch to kernel pppd until the bugs in user-ppp are fixed unless you have the time and desire to track them down.
