  I think Richard is being overly dramtic.  sup is still pretty good way 
of getting updates, and still being supported.

  There is also sup2.freebsd.org

  Run "sup" in an infinite loop for a few days.  Eventually, you will get 
a slot.  (This is a bad thing, BTW)
