Ah, this is simple. To get a tarball of 2.2.7-RELEASE - do the following. 1.) login to ftp.freebsd.org (this one supports this, i do not believe the others do) 2.) goto /pub/FreeBSD 3.) get 2.2.7-RELEASE.tar Now just untar the tarball after it all downloads. It will be in a directory called "2.2.7-RELEASE". Its easiest to do what I did when installing 3.0 on several fresh-computers. Setup anon-ftp and have the dir under it (ie /pub/FreeBSD/2.2.7-RELEASE) and tell the installation diskette use your own FTP server... tell it like: ftp.myhost.blah.com/pub/FreeBSD and it will goto /pub/FreeBSD/2.2.7-RELEASE...... Rather simple... -- Phillip Salzman "i have something in my pants, wanna see?"
