I haven't attempted this, however, I just received the 8.0.5 Oracle for
Linux Prerelease CD. Rather surprising; it is very `prerelease'. Plain
white CD envelope with a little slip of paper that tells you where to
find the README file. Very un-Oracle. :) On the other hand, it came
overnight UPS. Someone is on the ball there.

I am progressing through an install (this is my first) on a 2.0.35 Linux
box as a baseline. When I have this figured out, I will turn back to
FreeBSD and attempt to get it working on 3.0. I will probably attempt
to run some of the Oracle client stuff (SQL*Plus, tnsping, etc.) on my
existing 2.2.7 server within the next two days.
