I don't know about NetApps and we haven't retested this with 3.3 on a better network, but a FreeBSD 3.2 client against a Solaris 2.6 server running NFSv3 is a big No! Caused us quite some (nearly) infinite hangs on the client side. Once we enforced NFSv2, all problems went away.
