The parts that require manual installation are installed just like the 
old ones.  The remainder are installed by 'make world'.  You deinstall 
the manually-installed parts by installing the old parts.

For experimentation, just put "/boot/loader" in /boot.config.  If it's 
not working for you, override it at the boot: prompt and then remove it 
when you're booted.
