Terry Lambert, almost certainly :-) I think it would be a good idea too, but it's really a separate initiative to PAM and the stuff I'm working on with modularizing libcrypt. Not to say it shouldn't be done if you're looking for a project - this kind of base modularity is always good, IMO.
