You might also check the Linux laptop homepage. http://www.cs.utexax.edu/users/kharker/linux-laptop/ Somewhere on there you'll find a pre-built X server that should work on your machine from Jay Kuri <jay@oneway.com>. You'll also find it in the FreeBSD mailing list archives if you look hard enough.
