Did I in any way infer that it has an scientific base, or even any value?
No.  It is a poorly written and very poorly thought-out advertisement for
Linux.

Dr. Meyer's article is presented as a philosophical discourse, but in
truth is a carefully worded ad hominem attack on Eric S. Raymond, which 
has NO place in public discourse about software development methodology.
