You're spot on, I just checked the man page. I guess it's only "luck" in the past that meant it showed the size of a PPP packet. Unfortunately, size of packet is what I need, as well as the basic src/dest info! I guess I could use -x and count the output bytes, although this doesn't include the link level header...
