It finds the copies at the site listed in the port's Makefile right after the MASTER_SITE_GNU; if you do something like: make fetch MASTER_SITE_OVERRIDE=ftp://mirror.cs.wisc.edu/pub/mirrors/ghost/gnu/gs652/ ..it should fetch the files just fine. Oh, and BTW, it's already in the pub/FreeBSD/ports/distfiles/ directory on at least ftp.de.FreeBSD.org, so you could fetch it from the nearest FreeBSD FTP mirror.
