The .In macro exists on -stable, but I don't think most of the man
pages have been converted to use it yet (as was done in -current).
There should not, however, be any problems with using it in -stable.

The documentation might still be useful to somebody trying to
understand what a piece of code does.  Perhaps just marking it
"deprecated" (along with the reason(s) why) in a few obvious places
would be sufficient?
