AFAIK, it's still unsupported.  For ATAPI burners, you still have
to mkisofs and then burncd.  (Or the longwinded equiv with audio
CDs: namely rip to MP3s, convert back to wavs, then burn.)

SCSI burners are a different story.  You can use cdrecord with
them, which does support DAO.
