How'd gedit enter the mix? It doesn't appear to be a dependancy. From your other recent messages, it looks like you recently updated or tried to update your ports tree. The Gtk (Gnome) related stuff has notorious versioning troubles. Often you need to update your gtk base ports before you can update the ports which depend on them. :-( Ciao, Sheldon.
