If I remeber correctly, BIOS versions 1.16 and under on that motherboard
munge the IRQ settings in the PCI device configuration space and mess up
the driver. Later BIOSes should fix the problem. I supposse it's also
possible they re-introduced the bug in even later BIOS versions, but check
out the exact version of your motherboard BIOS and make sure it's after
1.16

Opinions expressed are my own, but
      they should be everybody's.
