They've moved their system call numbers around & share a number of calls with osf/1, their flags (eg, mmap flags, ioctl numbers, etc) are also different. This is probably a result of their initial bootstrap from osf/1. Still a lot of problems, but some (simple) things work: <2:28pm>broil/gallatin:linux>uname -srm FreeBSD 4.0-CURRENT alpha <2:28pm>broil/gallatin:linux>/compat/linux/bin/bash bash$ /compat/linux/bin/uname Linux bash$ /bin/uname -srm Linux 2.2.5 alpha bash$ exit However, nothing truely useful works yet.
