Point 1:
Yes my boss admitted later that he paraphrased "not that good" to "terrible"
in your description of the 3ware driver on BSD.
Point 2:
When my boss (who is sincerly interested in your product) said that he was
software agnostic he was heavily pushed/perswaded by your words that using
Linux was what he should do. Not only with your product, but all the other
servers we have using the 3ware card.
Point 3:
I appologise for creating such a ruckus, but it really irks me when someone
representing the views of a company disparages FreeBSD, or a driver contained
within. Please remember that as a respected company that your words can carry a
bit of weight.
I encourage you to work with Mike Smith to correct any misunderstandings or
problems you might have that should hopefully lead you to complete software
Ignostics or maybe even favoring FreeBSD.
Also please accept the offer to present your wares at the next BAFUG (Bay Area
FreeBSD Users Group) and hopefully by that time also be able to present good
news abt these issues.
