Sabastian, I'm running 2.1 and I also get the 'Medium not present' message when I boot - it does not prevent me putting in a CD after booting and mounting it, so I would not worry, contrary to what Jonathan has said. ruth > On Sun, 19 Apr 1998, Ing.
