from the 3.0 syslog.conf man page:

	An asterisk ("*'') can be used to specify all facilities
	all levels or all programs.

I just used it a few minutes ago and it worked.

however, if for any reasons you have to remain portable with other syslog
daemons (like Solaris), you should use .debug instead.
