Gentlemen, this is a religious issue. heir() is the bsd way, /opt is the Solaris way. People love and hate one versus the other. It's a fact of life. Can I at least get you guys to agree to disagree, and see each other's points? Nothing's going to *change* and in the end, we all use the ports to our advantage to save time, but yes, they do often need customizing to fit the needs/personalities of a given site.
