Just create an executable shell script, like the following:
#!/bin/sh
exec >/dev/console
exec 2>&1
/usr/sbin/sendmail -q
/usr/local/bin/fetchmail -f /etc/ppp/fetchmailrc
It is executed automatically when the pppd link comes up.
