Well, if 100CT and 110CT have same chipset this is not true.
I run since 2.2.5 in my libretto 100CT.

$ X -version

XFree86 Version 3.3.2.3 / X Window System
(protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6300)
Release Date: July 15 1998

Configured drivers:

      neomagic, generic
