Merging changeset 123706 [1] from mono svn (with slight changes) fixes the handleref problem (patch committed a few seconds ago to out releng-2.2 branch). So we have the problem for pinvoke2.exe and winx64structs.exe for both mono-2.4 and mono-2.2.
