--- Comment #1 from Warren Block <wblock@FreeBSD.org> ---
Those are uses of -f for the subcommand. These are documented in the
subcommand man pages, pkg-update(8), pkg-upgrade(8), and so on. They do se=
em
to be documented there.

https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=3Dpkg-update&apropos=3D0&sektion=
=3D0&manpath=3DFreeBSD+10.2-RELEASE+and+Ports&arch=3Ddefault&format=3Dhtml

https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=3Dpkg-upgrade&apropos=3D0&sektion=
=3D0&manpath=3DFreeBSD+10.2-RELEASE+and+Ports&arch=3Ddefault&format=3Dhtml

These are actually part of the ports-mgmt/pkg port. If those additional pa=
ges
do not cover the flags adequately, please respond and this bug report can be
reassigned.

Thanks!
