Hi! Just FYI, I didn't get any response to the message I sent to the port-maintainer. I do know they've been working on / releasing stuff on this port in the meantime. Since I don't see any other way to communicate to "a maintainer" other than by list/email, I guess the right, next step is filing a Problem Report.
