[from freebsddiray support fourm] I found this on the CUPS.general newsgroup (http://www.cups.org/newsgroups.php?s1+gcups.general+v4): create the /var/spool/cups folder make sure to create the /var/spool/cups/tmp folder as well.. make sure the lp and sys users have write access http://www.freebsddiary.org/phorum/read.php?f=1&i=8537&t=8532#reply_8537 hope this helps you out.
