That's because Win95 tells the card what to use, vs. having the card tell the OS what it's setup to be. The 'zp/ze' devices rely on the saved values inside the card, which are different than what Win95 or DOS/Card-Services use. In order to find out what the card is set, you muse use the 3C5X9CFG.EXE program supplied with the card. Boot a 'clean' DOS floppy and then run the program. It'll complain about not finding card services running (this is good). Then, you can read the values for the Port, IRQ, and IO block used. Use these to configure the zp driver. In the future the zp/ze drivers will go away and be replaced with FreeBSD 'Card Services', which exist in 'alpha' state in 2.2. Nate
