First of all, I don't think there are many gstripe/gconcat users out there.

Gstripe as well as gconcat was introduced after 5.2.1 - there was no
FreeBSD release with this code.

That's why I think this is not necessary, this is -CURRENT and user can
always fix his /etc/fstab on boot.
