Just to give more info: rc.conf I have nfsv4_server_enable="yes" in /etc/exports V4: / -sec=sys -network 172.20.8.0/24 /export/vmimages -maproot=root -network 172.20.8.0/24 Is there a minor revision option for the v4 export line I'm missing? If so 11 has no documentation on it On Wed, Jan 18, 2017 at 1:35 AM, Ronald Klop <ronald-lists@klop.ws> wrote: > The original question was not posted by me, so I cc this answer back into > the mailinglist as Rick is quite knowledgeable in the NFS stuff of FreeBSD. > > Ronald. > > On Tue, 17 Jan 2017 23:35:38 +0100, Rick Macklem <rmacklem@uoguelph.ca> > wrote: > > The server supports both NFSv4.0 and NFSv4.1 and the exports are the same >> for both. >> `man exports` is confusing, but you need the same lines as you would have >> to export >> the file systems for NFSv3 + a line that defines where the root of the >> NFSv4 directory tree is. >> This additional line does not export any file systems, so you still need >> all the lines for the >> file systems.
