Okay, I'm trying the "make update" in /usr/src, after having gotten the internal drive plugged back into the on-board AIC-7890 controller. However, "make update" dies: # make update -------------------------------------------------------------- >>> Running /usr/local/bin/cvsup -------------------------------------------------------------- Parsing supfile "/usr/local/cvsup/stable-supfile" Connecting to cvsup.uk.FreeBSD.org Connected to cvsup.uk.FreeBSD.org Server software version: REL_16_1 Negotiating file attribute support Exchanging collection information Establishing multiplexed-mode data connection Running Updating collection src-all/cvs Shutting down connection to server Finished successfully Parsing supfile "/usr/local/cvsup/ports-supfile" Connecting to cvsup.uk.FreeBSD.org Connected to cvsup.uk.FreeBSD.org Server software version: REL_16_1 Negotiating file attribute support Exchanging collection information Establishing multiplexed-mode data connection Running TreeList failed: Error in "/usr/sup/ports-astro/checkouts.cvs:.": 1: Invalid escape sequence. Delete it and try again. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/src. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/src. I'm hoping that this is just the ports stuff, and that I don't really have to worry about it. I'm going to give it a try, just in case. -- These are my opinions -- not to be taken as official Skynet policy ====================================================================== Brad Knowles, <blk@skynet.be> || Belgacom Skynet SA/NV Systems Architect, Mail/News/FTP/Proxy Admin || Rue Colonel Bourg, 124 Phone/Fax: +32-2-706.13.11/12.49 || B-1140 Brussels http://www.skynet.be || Belgium "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." -Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania.
