Hi there, I upgraded from FreeBSD 4.0-RELEASE to FreeBSD 4.1-RC. I wanna get a Dual PII400MHz. So I thought I'll check and see if someone can answer my questions here. I'm checking the kernel where is says SMP and there are few lines. # To make an SMP kernel, the next two are needed #options SMP # Symmetric MultiProcessor Kernel #options APIC_IO # Symmetric (APIC) I/O # Optionally these may need tweaked, (defaults shown): #options NCPU=2 # number of CPUs #options NBUS=4 # number of busses #options NAPIC=1 # number of IO APICs #options NINTR=24 # number of INTs Is this all I need to add if I wanna use a Dual Processors? If yes how can I find out the number of busses, number of IO APICs and number of INTs? I'll appreciate it if someone could answer me.
