hello,
i am running freeBSD4.2Stable, with a kernel based on GENERIC, but with options for SMP (dual p3-850), APIC_IO, and a few others specific to PostGreSQL... all is sweet! i try to add a 2nd NIC, and it looks like the machine recognizes them as the same NIC... the first NIC is linksys LNE100TX, and the 2nd is Kingston KNE111TX. i go to /stand/sysinstall, and into config, network, interfaces, and config dc0 for my WAN IP, then go to dc1, and set it for the LAN IP, bring both up, and even reboot. bottom line is that the last config i set, stays for both NICs. are the cards too similar? or am i missing something?
thanks!
shaun
