when i try to dial to my isp with my modem the entire system crashes.  my internal modem, non win and non plug and play worked in linux on comport 1 and the jumpers are set to comport 1.  my ppp is configured correctly and im using /dev/cuaa0.  what can i do to get this modem to dial?
