This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0012_01C1710B.71E1B1C0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi, I am trying to make tcpdump work across 2 machines, ie trying to monitor = a machine's IP packets from another machine. Just typing 'tcpdump host = ip2' from the first m/c, say ip1, is not working. However, typing = 'tcpdump host ip2' on ip2 works fine. Do I have to configure BSD packet = filter to make this work ? I am working on 4.3. Thanks, Anjali ------=_NextPart_000_0012_01C1710B.71E1B1C0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Diso-8859-1"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.50.4807.2300" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Hi,</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>I am trying to make tcpdump work across = 2 machines,=20 ie trying to monitor a machine's IP packets from another machine.
