However, maybe you should try to recompile/reinstall MPlayer > to see if it will help. What is the issue with Metacity? Maybe that's my problem? I know Gnome 2.2 used sawfish but 2.4 uses Metacity. I've tried recompile/reinstall of mplayer but it hasn't helped. Thanks, Drew
