[-- Attachment #1 --] I have a Compaq Presario 1020 notebook I want to try FreeBSD on, I figured that I would use the PPP feature (great feature by the way) In the CMOS it is set on COM 4, 2e8 IRQ 3, (why I am not sure) I get all the way to the point where I hit the ALT-F3 to go to the term, when I call the term it just freeses , I can go back to the ALT-F1 and ALT-F2 but I lose keyboard in the term. Well so I download all the bins (aa - es for 3.0 and aa - cx for 2.8) I first tried 3.0 on floppies and it gave me a message of WRITE -1 on either cl, cm, cn, co, cp, or cq. I swith to DEBUG and it says that GUNZIP : STDIN not in zip (something like that). Ok, I got on my other computer and downloaded the cl - cq again, same thing, than I download ALL of them again (I wish I had a T1), Same problem, than I figured I'll create a 60 Meg partition on my hard drive, copied all the files to their respected directories, same error. Not with frustration level high, I decide to download 2.8 ver. same as above, same problem? I have no idea what could be causing it? Do you?
