I don't believe in attacking the ignorant or innocent. Even if someone asks
a question a hundred times in #freebsdhelp, even though I get insanely
frustrated, I don't chew the guy out. I try to walk him through it. But
when people throw out the word 'fuck' 50 times in an email expressing how
stupid a Unix class operating system is simply because that person cannot
understand it, that person doesn't need FreeBSD help, they need mental help.
That person is closed minded and unwilling to listen, and truly undeserving
of help. I don't believe in screaming RTFM to calm (although repeated)
questions, from newbies. You sit and think THAT QUESTION HAS BEEN ASKED
1,000,000 TIMES. But from the other point of view, that person has only
asked the question once, and is honestly trying to become a new member of
the FreeBSD community. I respect that, because I was there, as was most
everyone else. People who are hostile however, do not deserve assistance,
because how can they master FreeBSD when they have not mastered themselves ?
