hm .... could it be that kerberos gives you an authenticated ID to recognize
you?

SSH doesn't, just encrypts the data .....

Sheesh, I love telnet ... but if everytime I SU to ROOT it goes in plain
text, then I'm moving to SSH. Today I'll try to move to 4.3, wish me luck
