Fellow BSD'ers ,
I'm having a strange problem with my freebsd box
i'm running a 4.4 current ( installed from the iso image ) .
i'm using it to connect a small home network ( 4 pc's ) to the internet .
i have a dsl modem connected to a 3com nic .
things are running smoothly for a while and than i get disconnected from the
web .
i dont care about the disconnect as much but ( there's always a but ;-) .
as soon as the ppp hangs i cannot login to the box using ssh fromanywhere
including from the internal lan !!!
i can connect to the web server to the ssl web server , i csn telnet to port
25 and i can view the samba shares but not login .
only way for me to login is to go to he console and HUP pppd ;-( .
any idea's / similar problems ?
I dont have netgraph compiled into the kernel and i am using ipnat to masq
the internel lan .
my ppp version is -> PPP Version 2.3.2 - Sep 18 2001
thanks
barazani
