had same problem here except i couldnt use any of my 2 cdrom drives. all tries resulted in "device not configured" they are both ide drives one a cd-rom one a lite-on 12/10/32 cd-rw. the fix for me was to run another cvsup the next day and build world and install new kernel. all is working again. I guess something got messed up in the writing of the code. I wish I could find a place where the details of the source changes for cvsupping can be found. much like a change-log for the cvsup stuff. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger Williams" <rogerw1962@hotmail.com> To: <freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG> Sent: Monday, April 01, 2002 2:27 PM Subject: acd0: CDROM <MATSHITA CR-177> at ata0-master PIO4 > Hello, > I recently installed 4.4 from cd... all went well.
