At my workplace we are currently running FreeBSD v2.2.6 and they require someone to upgrade it to v2.2.7 or better. What is the newest stable version and does that mean just downloading and compiling a new kernel or do I need to upgrade everything (do the "make world" thing)? Are there quick instructions for doing this upgrade anywhere? PS-Also, how hard would it be to transfer the whole system to a new hard drive?
