Thanks Joe, now your patches apply cleanly, but then build

This is very strange, all other ports (e.g. vnc, lyx)
configure and build fine with -lXpm...

There is something i simply don't get about this port... 8-(
Does it _really_ want GNOME? (No offence, but i don't have it :)
If yes, what part of GNOME?
