I notice at least one recent contributor bagging the RealTek 8139 (with good reason) Personally I make a point of never purchasing el junko hardware, unfortunately a client acquired several of those disasters for a panic job recently & they sure lived up to their reputation !!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRR The previous time I encountered them they were purchased by an accountant (yes well .... I know one can't expect much from a beancounter). After a few days of network connectivity problems it wasn't difficult to convince the "powers that be" that it just might be a good idea to have someone technically qualified specify what hardware would be purchased in the future. I'd love to find the moron who designed the abortions & commit certain grievous bodily events against them :) The real net worth of those things is around 5% of their wholesale price (and thats being kind to them) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
