Mensaje citado por "Fines, Steven" <Steven.Fines@cotelligent.com>: | Dear Maintainer, | | I've just installed OpenLDAP on my FreeBSD 5.0 machine, and I've run into | this issue: | | sdfbsd# uname -a | FreeBSD sdfbsd.cotelligent.com 5.0-RELEASE FreeBSD 5.0-RELEASE #0: Thu Jan | 16 22:16:53 GMT 2003 | root@hollin.btc.adaptec.com:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386 | | | sdfbsd# /usr/local/libexec/slapd -d 5 | @(#) $OpenLDAP: slapd 2.0.25-Release (Mon Mar 17 17:21:36 PST 2003) $ | | root@sdfbsd.cotelligent.com:/usr/ports/net/openldap2/work/openldap-2.0.25/se | rvers/slapd | daemon_init: <null> | daemon_init: listen on ldap:/// | daemon_init: 1 listeners to open... | ldap_url_parse_ext(ldap:///) | daemon: initialized ldap:/// | daemon_init: 1 listeners opened | slapd init: initiated server. | slapd startup: initiated. | backend_startup: bi_open 1 failed! | slapd shutdown: initiated | ldbm backend syncing | ldbm backend done syncing | ====> cache_release_all | slapd shutdown: freeing system resources. | slapd stopped. | connections_destroy: nothing to destroy. | | From some research on the web, I've discovered that it's because the port | has listed as a requirement dbd3 but links against bdb4. Is this true? If | so, what can I do to resolve the issue? I've tried deinstalling and | reinstalling, and that didn't work so I am at a loss as to how to proceed. | Any hints? Is this port broken? Steven, I had this bit me when I installed openldap21 that links against bdb4 sleepycat and then tried to go back to openldap20 with a port build. I did a pkg_delete for bot openldap21 and bdb4 and built openldap and it linked fine. I agree that it shouldn't link against bdb4 but it does and the above worked for me. good luck, ed ------------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
