Hi, I am running freebsd 4.8 stable, and have cups installed. # pkg_info | grep cups cups-1.1.19.0 The Common UNIX Printing System: Metaport to install comple cups-base-1.1.19.0 The Common UNIX Printing System: headers, libs, & daemons cups-lpr-1.1.19.0 The CUPS BSD and system V compatibility binaries (lp* comma cups-pstoraster-7.07 GNU Postscript interpreter for CUPS printing to non-PS prin I copied /usr/local/etc/rc.d/cups.sh.sample to cups.sh, and then ran /usr/local/etc/rc.d/cups.sh start # /usr/local/etc/rc.d/cups.sh start cups: started scheduler. However when I ran ps, I got: # ps aux | grep cups # I can not find cupsd process. Why? Any suggestion? Thanks in advance! Peng -- Zhang, Peng <pzhang@hsph.harvard.edu>
